It is sometimes a problem that you do not know when a shipment, e.g. an important letter or package you are waiting for has arrived, and especially in cases where the mailbox may not be located right next to the place where you are at the moment. This may, for example, apply to smaller entrepreneurs, especially craftsmen or technicians who work in the field, and may need to know when e.g. a spare part or the like has arrived.
It is known that e.g. have a manual display system with a flag that is raised when the mailbox is opened, and which must be folded down manually to end the display. However, this system requires that the receiver is in place and can see that the flag is raised. There are also systems that include manually activated switches that send an electrical signal to a receiver, where a signal lamp can indicate that something has happened at the receiving point.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a new indication system as well as a new device for a remote receiver to be able to indicate the arrival of a consignment in a mailbox.
An indication system according to the invention comprises a sensor arranged in a mailbox, which upon sensing the arrival of a consignment in the mailbox wirelessly sends a signal to the recipient of the consignment to alert it to the arrival of the consignment.

According to yet another preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention, the vibration sensor is also arranged to register certain type of vibrations as a burglary or attempted burglary, and is then arranged to deliver such a signal to the transmitter which in such a case is arranged to transmit a special signal. to the recipient or to another recipient, e.g. a security company.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention, it comprises a receiver arranged to receive signals for updating the sensitivity of the vibration sensor and / or the functions of the transmitter.
The invention will now be described in more detail in the form of a non-limiting exemplary embodiment, illustrated by means of the accompanying drawing figures, in which Fig. 1 schematically shows the principles of an indicating system according to the invention, and Fig. 2 shows an example. on a mailbox equipped with an indicating system and a device according to the invention.
Fig. 1 thus shows a mailbox 1 which can be placed in principle anywhere and has any design, but which suitably has such a design that it can receive at least smaller parcel items. The mailbox has a box 2, through which the supplier, e.g. a letter carrier or a courier driver, can bring the consignment to be delivered into the mailbox 1. The mailbox 1 can in a known manner be provided with a lockable door or door, which enables removal of a consignment delivered to the mailbox.
Inside the mailbox 1 is arranged a sensor which senses when a shipment has been delivered to the mailbox, as will be explained in more detail below. This sensor is interconnected or integrated with a transmitter which is intended to send a signal to a predetermined receiver when the sensor has registered that a consignment has arrived in the mailbox. This signal can, depending on the selected transmission type, be transmitted directly to a receiver, e.g. to his mobile phone or so-called smartphone 3. Alternatively, the signal can be sent to a server or cloud solution 4, to then be distributed to the receiver 3. The system solution also provides the possibility to use the sensor also for other functions, as will be described in more detail below, and then a message can also be sent to a third party 5, or via this third party 5 to the recipient 3.
The mailbox 1 can, as mentioned above, have in principle any design, but has a box 2 which is large enough to allow the introduction of the type and size of items 6 which the mailbox is intended to be able to receive. To remove the consignment 6 from the mailbox 1, it is provided in a known manner with a door or door 7. This door or door 7 is suitably also lockable, in order to prevent others than the intended recipient from being able to remove the consignment 6 from the mailbox. Fig. 2 shows the consignment 6 standing on the bottom of the mailbox. Inside the mailbox 1 is also arranged the above-mentioned device 8 which i.a. comprises a sensor which registers when a consignment 6 has arrived in the mailbox 1. This device 8 with sensors is suitably placed next to the bottom or against a wall in the mailbox 1.
Preferably, the sensor of the device 8 is a vibration sensor which senses when a single item enters the mailbox. Such a vibration sensor can then preferably be programmable or adjustable so that it only emits a signal when the vibration detecting is large enough to generate such a signal. Thus, the sensor can be set so that it does not send a signal when an ordinary letter arrives in the mailbox, but only when a shipment of a certain preset weight enters the mailbox. Because the sensor is suitably directly connected to the housing of the mailbox 1, it is easily felt by all the vibrations that propagate through the casing of the mailbox, as this is usually made of sheet metal.
The device 8 also comprises a transmitter for sending a message to the receiver upon receipt of the signal from the sensor. The transmitter of the device 8 is suitably designed to send the message via a mobile data network or a mobile telephone network to the receiver 3. Such a message can be sent directly to the receiver 3, or alternatively via a cloud solution 4 or possibly a third party 5 for further transmission to the receiver 3. In the lottery 3, it may technically be in the form of an ordinary mobile telephone, a so-called smartphone, a tablet or a computer. Preferably, the indicating system according to the invention is designed so that in the receiver 9 there is a so-called app that receives updated information from the transmitter in the device 8, either directly or via the cloud solution 4 or the third party 5.
The device 8 is suitably also provided with a receiver so that it can receive signals from the receiver 3, either directly or via the cloud solution 4. As mentioned in the introduction, an indication system according to the invention can be of great value for e.g. craftsmen or technicians in small businesses, where there is no one on site who can receive items, or easy checks if someone has arrived in the mailbox, then the craftsman / technician can be notified immediately a shipment arrived in the mailbox. It may also be of interest to private individuals, e.g. disabled people and the elderly who may not always have it so easy to get to the mailbox to see if anything has arrived. In the latter cases, the indication system can of course be set so that it indicates the arrival of all types / sizes of shipments.
